The
Shenandoah Valley Wine Growers Association is the only organization
that markets Shenandoah Valley wines and the Shenandoah Valley
appellation ( AVA ) to the global marketplace. Membership benefits
include:
- Participation in annual market visits
across the U.S. Members presented their wines to members of the trade,
members of the media and consumers in several key markets. Other
marketing programs included the planned launch of the Shenandoah Valley
appellation tagline and market research to enhance Shenandoah Valley 's
presence in the Washington DC Metro marketplace.
- Participation in charity wine auction. for local health, youth
development and housing programs plans to generating extensive coverage
in trade and consumer media and bringing national and international
recognition to Shenandoah Valley for the AVA wines.
- Participation in State wide marketing programs. Visits to key markets
and local programs for trade and media visiting from Washington DC
metro allow members to expand their presence and exposure in the
growing market.
- Preservation of the Shenandoah Valley
Appellation ( AVA ) and protection of its integrity through projects
like the certification mark for 100% Shenandoah Valley wines and the
state legislation regarding geographic labeling.
- Background materials and member forums with public officials on
critical local, state and national issues affecting the Shenandoah
Valley wine industry.
- Access to community outreach
programs and activities created and managed by the SVVA such as,
community newsletters and direct mail.
- Direct referrals of media interviews, profiles, photo/video shoots and other
editorial opportunities via direct requests to SVWGA communications
staff.
- Access to public relations resources and tools
such as the SVWGA map, Shenandoah Valley Wine newsletter, annual
vintage chart, press kit materials, Terrain and Terroir, and other
general information on the Shenandoah Valley appellation.
- Links to your Web site from the SVWGA's site at www.svwga.org
- Participation in member-only services and events such as the Grower
Dinner, Holiday Lunch, General Membership meetings, and member
workshops. These events provide opportunities for networking, education
and socializing.
